Working Model 3D is a three-dimensional physics and motion-simulation tool for designing and testing mechanical systems in a virtual environment. It lets you assemble rigid bodies, define joints and constraints, add forces, springs, dampers, and motors, and run time-based simulations with gravity, friction, and collision. Results appear as interactive 3D animations with measurement tools and plots for displacement, velocity, acceleration, forces, and energy to validate kinematics and dynamics. Engineers, educators, and students use it to prototype linkages and machinery, explore design alternatives, and communicate concepts before building hardware. Core capabilities typically include parameterized models, libraries of standard joints (revolute, prismatic, gears), adjustable solver accuracy, contact modeling, and options to record results or export animations and data.
Working Model 3D is developed by Working Model, Inc. A Division of Knowledge Revolution. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.0 and 4.0. The names of program executable files are RunAs0.exe, WM3D.EXE.
